Job Description:
• Work alongside the Director of Electrical with day-to-day tasks.
• Work with Project Managers, QC/QA specialists, and Design Teams to help set up goals for company success.
• Problem solver.
• Mentor personnel in training, testing, and in quality installations.
• Deal with Authorities having Jurisdictions and Utility Companies when issues arise or when needed.
• Take state exams when needed.
• Write electrical safety plans when needed.
• Work with all departments to move projects forward.
• Available to help with site visits for future designs.
• Work with the Design team on future projects.
• Scheduling site visits, QC site visits, Testing Dates, and closeout dates.
• Review and write reports when needed.
• Design and drawing review approvals.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience with a minimum of 5 years being commercial/utility solar and 5 years of commercial electrical installs. Industrial electrical installs are a plus.
- Worked with 480V 3-phase AC power systems for a minimum of 4 years.
- Must have an electrical master’s license from any state. A dual license with a General Contractor’s license is a plus.
- A NABCEP Professional Certificate is a plus.
- Understand or have an excellent grasp of the following codebooks NEC, IBC, NFPA 70E, and any other required books of required codes.
- Must have an excellent understanding of construction drawings, electrical schematics, data communications, and control designs.
- Have an excellent understanding of QCQA in designs and field installs.
- Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate within all departments of the company.
- Excellent at problem-solving.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for AC and DC voltages.
- An understanding of low voltage and communication wiring.
- An understanding of solar monitoring systems and weather stations.
- OSHA 30 minimal.
- Strong Computer Skills
- Travel is required when needed.
- Smartsheet skills a plus
- Willing to learn and energetic.
